2026 Yukon Championships

The Yukon Championships is our biggest and most exciting meet of the season! Hosted right here in Whitehorse, this 3-day competition brings together swimmers from across the north and other areas in Canada for a fun, high-energy weekend of racing, team spirit, and celebration.

• Dates: May 1–3, 2026
• Location: Whitehorse Lions Aquatic Centre
• WGB Athlete Entry Fee: $50.00 per athlete

This meet includes a mix of:

1. Preliminary (morning) sessions (where swimmers compete to qualify for finals)
2. Finals (afternoon/evening) (top swimmers race again for medals)
3. Timed finals (some events are swum once with final rankings based on time)

Swimmers do not need to attend all three days, but days in which they compete are in the preliminary sessions (morning). Coaches will complete event selections.

1. Morning sessions (Prelims):
   • Warm-ups begin around 7:30 AM
   • Racing starts at 9:00 AM
2. Afternoon sessions (Finals):
   • Warm-ups begin around 3:30 PM
   • Racing starts at 4:30 PM

• Top 3 swimmers in each event receive medals during finals
• Ribbons are awarded for 4th–8th place
• Results will be posted online and on Meet Mobile
• Door prizes for athletes and volunteers presented throughout the weekend!
• After finals on Sunday, all swimmers and families are invited to enjoy a free swim in the pool until 9:00 PM.
